Mount Ellen Parking Supervisor
We are seeking a friendly and hardworking individual to supervise and oversee the daily operation of the parking lots and parking staff, with a focus on the Mt. Ellen parking lot. This employee will also drive a company operated pick-up truck and trailer, transporting guests from their cars to the top of the parking lot and back to their cars at the end of the day. Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and Half-day Fridays
Ensure a consistent and safe flow of traffic, uninterrupted jitney service, timely and appropriate response to customer service issues, appearance of staff, cleanliness of lot and vehicles, completion of payroll and employee paperwork. Individual will complete timesheets and turn in to Lift Operations/Parking Manager.
Supervisory responsibilities include planning and assigning work, training, evaluating job performance, interviewing, hiring, disciplining and recommending wages. They will enforce employee-parking procedures. The most difficult/creative decisions are those that involve providing direction to staff members, as well as decisions that affect the safe and efficient flow of traffic. Will deal with customer situations i.e., accidents, towing illegal parkers, and customers who wish to park somewhere other than where they are directed.
They will also drive the jitney trailer through the parking lot, helping skiers load themselves and equipment onto the jitney while ensuring the safety of the passengers.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a high School Diploma or equivalent required, BA/BS preferred. 2-3 years of ski area operations or parking experience, with at least one year of supervisory experience. Good understanding of ebb and flow of traffic patterns associated with a ski area. Excellent customer service skills are required and must have the ability to effectively communicate and interact with the public and other company personnel. Must have a valid drivers license and excellent driving skills. Commercial driving experience preferred. Must pass a Motor Vehicle test.
