Remote Fireside Dining

One of Sugarbush's premier offerings, Remote Fireside Dining at Allyn’s Lodge is a unique experience that allows friends and families to celebrate their most memorable occasions. Guests arrive by Lincoln Limo—a snowcat fitted with a twelve-passenger heated cabin—or on foot via a guided hike up the mountain. The fireside dining experience is open to guests of all ages, skiers and non-skiers alike.

The mountain at dusk feels magical under the moonlight and a coat of fresh snow. Guests often arrive in two groups: the more adventurous crew sets out for their two-mile guided hike up to Allyn’s Lodge at 4:45 PM; the more relaxed crew arrives by 6 PM, piling into the Lincoln Limo for the twenty-minute haul up the mountain. Both groups arrive at the Lodge around the same time, and gather inside around a roaring fire. The evening begins with a local cheese fondue, a house-made paté, and a complimentary glass of champagne.  

Allyn’s Lodge provides an intimate atmosphere lit by candles and a crackling fire. Previously-recognized Vermont Chef of the Year Gerry Nooney and his culinary team craft a simple but beautiful three-course meal with just the right blend of mountain charm and sophistication. The elegant meal can be paired with a selection of wines or Vermont craft beer of your choice (reserve ahead of time), or the house selection. (Wine and beer may be purchased in advance, or a la carte at dinner.) Following the fireside dinner, guests bundle up to either ski or snowboard down a freshly-groomed trail, or descend to the base in the comfort of the heated cabin cat. Skiing down in the quiet of the night heightens the senses, providing an experience many guests return for again and again. (This experience is for advanced skiers and snowboarders only.)The evening concludes with coffee and house-made dessert, served in the warmth of Rumble’s Kitchen. The evening ends around 9:30 PM.

Dates

Fridays: We will offer a series of dinners highlighting a local beer maker (Lawson’s Finest Liquids, for example) or a unique selection of wines open to individual reservations. Dates and details tbd.
Saturdays: December 23rd – March 31st
Holidays: December 26th – 31st, January 12th - 14th, February 18th -23rd

Please book well in advance, as dates, particularly Saturdays and holidays, do sell out fast. Dinners may be available for private groups any day with at least one-week notice. A minimum of 12 people is required.

Rates

$175 per person, 12-person minimum. Includes one complimentary glass of champagne (beer or wine can be provided for an additional charge). Groups up to 24 can be accommodated, though groups of 12+ may require two cabin cat trips, thus dictating a later evening. Groups over 24, please inquire for details.

Beer/Wine Requests: You may add wine or local beer for an additional charge. Allyn’s Lodge Beer and wine selections are based on availability the day of the dinner. Special beer and wine requests can be accommodated at the time of reservation.

Reservation Policy: 50% deposit upon reservation; 50% final payment due two weeks prior to evening. A single form of payment is required.   Cancellations will not be refunded unless date can be rebooked with another party. Sugarbush reserves the right to cancel the event due to weather/conditions (a full refund will be issued in this instance).
