Hiking

Hike the trails of Sugarbush with one of our local guides to gain a new perspective on the area, find the best views, and learn about the flora and fauna of our mountainside environment. There are numerous hiking trails at Sugarbush; your guide will take you on a route of approximately 2 hours through the Gatehouse or Castlerock areas, based on the ability and stamina of the group and your interests.

Advanced reservations of at least 48 hour are required for guided hiking tours. Dates and times are flexible based on your preferences as well as guide availability. Please call 802.583.6504 or email to set up a reservation, or if you have any questions. Your guide will meet you at the Farmhouse Bike Shop at Lincoln Peak.

$75 for up to 2 people for 2 hours
$25 for each additional person

Interested in exploring on your own? The Sugarbush hiking trails and free and open to the public every day! Pick up a copy of the trail map at The Farmhouse Bike Shop at Lincoln Peak, open Saturdays and Sundays from September 4 through October 10, 2021, as well as Labor Day and Indigenous Peoples' Day/Columbus Day​, or use an online version. Hike a quick loop up Gatehouse, or go all the way to the top of the mountain and link up with the Long Trail. You can even combine a higher elevation hike with a scenic lift ride up to the top of the Super Bravo chairlift. Lift tickets, drinks, snacks, and other supplies for your hike are available for purchase at the Farmhouse Bike Shop. Our staff are also happy to answer any questions you have about hiking at Sugarbush. All hikers should come prepared with sturdy sneakers or hiking boots. A backpack with water, snacks, hat, warm clothes, and a map is highly recommended.
