Freestyle Development Team
The Sugarbush Freeski Competition Team is for dedicated athletes aiming to take their skiing to the next level through judged competition. Open to skiers ages 10-18, this nationally competitive program offers focused coaching and event support across moguls (USSA), slopestyle and halfpipe (USASA), and big mountain freeride (IFSA).

With a “great skiers make great freeskiers” philosophy, training emphasizes versatility and terrain-based skill development. Athletes ski steeps, bumps, park, trees and natural features to build a well-rounded foundation, with regular sessions dedicated to each discipline. Coaching includes video feedback, personalized progression plans, and a strong emphasis on safety and technique.

Weekend sessions run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, based out of Mt. Ellen, with opportunities to train on both mountains. Additional midweek sessions and coaching at select events are available throughout the season. Participants must be advanced to expert skiers, able to confidently ski black terrain, take airs, and commit to regular attendance and competition.

Need to Know
The 25/26 Freeski Competition Team runs December 6, 2025 - April 5, 2026.
The Freeski Competition Team meets every Saturday 9-2PM & Sunday 9-2PM at Mt Ellen, and early/late season at Lincoln Peak.
Lunch is not included.
The Freeski Competition Team participants must have a 25/26 Ikon Pass or Sugarbush Premium Pass.

The Freeski Competition Team participants must be advanced to expert freeskiers.
Participants must be advanced to expert skiers, able to confidently ski black terrain, take airs, and commit to regular attendance and competition.
The Freeski Competition Team participants must be able to ride the chairlift independently.
The Freeski Competition Team participants (ages 6+) may ride lifts by themselves or with members of the general public.
The Freeski Competition Team participants are required to wear a properly fitted and fastened winter sports helmet.

Cancellation Policy
25/26 Seasonal Programs Cancellation Policy
Programs must be paid in full at time of booking.
Cancellations made by 12/1/25 will receive a refund minus a $250 cancellation fee per participant.
Cancellations made after 12/1 are non-refundable.
