This Mountain Makes Us

What’s that voice in your head? The one that grins and even growls as you begin the drive to Sugarbush. The whisper that asks…who might you be today?

Mountains offer an endless second to conjure that voice into being. And if you’re a mountain person, Sugarbush is where you belong. What makes it special isn’t something man-made (though people surely help to make the place). It’s this mountain that makes us.

If you have a primal urge to find yourself in a moment where you want to be nowhere else, this mountain makes you too. If you love being up high instead of at sea level, this mountain makes you. If altitude is your attitude, this mountain makes you. For people like you, for people like us, being in the mountains means being home.

Last season, we asked you to share your inner self with us.

What do you look like when you're flying down the hill at Sugarbush? Are you soaring through the trees with wings, ruling the mountain with a crown, or something entirely your own?

Our This Mountain Makes Us Virtual Photobooth let you transform a photo from your day on the mountain into the version of yourself that comes alive at Sugarbush. Snaping a selfie at the summit, on the chairlift, or at the base, then add playful virtual props that capture how the mountain makes you feel. From wings for carving weightless turns to crowns for conquering your favorite trail and plenty more in between the possibilities are as limitless as your imagination. Stay Tuned for when we launch Version2 next winter.

I WASN’T BORN HERE, BUT I WAS MADE HERE.

I may only be eight, but I know what makes me happy. Sliding down big mountains. Ducking around trees. Launching off anything and everything. And Sleeper. More Sleeper, please.

I even like hanging out with my brother here, and that doesn’t happen anywhere. This mountain made me a little ripper, at least that’s what my dad says.

Here, people understand what makes the mountains special.

It’s the freedom. It’s the inspiration.

It’s that sensation of standing on top, peering out, looking down, then taking a deep breath and diving in.

What will the mountain make you?
