Lessons/ Camps & Rental Protocol
After much deliberation, we have decided that due to the significant unknowns and challenges of the new state guidelines, we do not plan to run our traditional Mini, Adventure, and Mountain Bike camps this summer. If for some reason the situation changes, we will certainly explore a potentially scaled down option for later in the summer. New England Tennis Holidays will also not be offering their tennis camps at the Sugarbush Health and Recreation Center this summer. There is still a possibility that we may be able to offer our golf camps, but that is still to be determined. The long list of protocols provided by the state will make it very challenging to safely run camps while also providing a great guest experience.
Since Governor Scott’s recent announcement regarding childcare facilities, we have been reviewing the new state guidelines and trying to come up with various plans and scenarios for a potential reopening. However, given the uncertainty of everything we have made the difficult decision to postpone opening the Sugarbush Day School. While the new guidelines are a significant factor in this decision, another big factor is current guest demand. If we do not have enough parents committing to returning their children to the program, it makes it difficult to operate as a viable business. At this point, we are working towards an early fall opening to line up with the start of the school year and will have further updates as we move forward.
