Who is eligible?

In the U.S., this includes anyone currently serving in, veterans of, or registered dependents* of the U.S. Army and Army Reserve, Army National Guard, U.S. Navy and Navy Reserves, U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard, Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve, Coast Guard and Coast Guard Reserve.

  • Veteran: A person who served in the active military and who was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable.
  • Active Duty (full-time): A person who is currently serving on active duty is in the military full-time.
  • Reserve & Guard Forces: A person in the Reserve or National Guard is not full-time active duty military personnel, although he or she can be deployed at any time should the need arise.
  • Retired: A military retiree is any former member of the uniformed services who is entitled, under statute, to retired, retirement, or retainer pay. Examples include, but are not necessarily limited to, spending 20 or more years in the military, or permanent retirement by reasons of physical disability.
  • Dependent: Immediate family (spouse and dependent children only) or Registered Dependents of Active/Retired/Veteran Military members. Parents of military members are not included, nor children who are no longer dependent. Definitions for age/eligibility requirements are defined by the military and Department of Defense.

I am a qualifying Military Dependent. What if the service member doesn’t buy a Sugarbush Military Pass? Will I still be able to?

  • Yes, we want to honor all families who have members who are serving or who have served. With proper dependent verification, you and your family can still purchase the appropriate Sugarbush Military Pass

Why do I have to go through a verification process?

  • This offer is exclusively reserved for the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and their qualifying dependents. To ensure eligibility, we require a military status verification process.

How will verification work?

  • When purchasing on-site at Sugarbush Resort valid Military Identification will be required or can be verified using the SHeerID verification process.  Purchases can also be made over the phone by calling 1-800-53-SUGAR, . In certain circumstances, you may need to contact SheerID at customerservice@sheerid.com to finalize verification process.

What kind of proof is required if I am not instantly verified?

Below is a list of approved forms of military identification:

  • DD214
  • Orders
  • VA ID
  • Official letter
  • Dependent ID (DD Form 1173 or other proof of dependency)
  • Any official government document that displays first/last name and military status or affiliation

What happens if I cannot prove my affiliation?

All military organizations give its members some kind of official document that we'll accept, but in the event you are unable to provide us with an acceptable proof of affiliation, we will not be able to verify you and cannot offer you access to the Sugarbush Military Pass. Please contact the season pass office at  802-583-6533 to upgrade to one of our other season pass options.
