Free Skiing for Furloughed Federal Employees
For as long as the government shutdown that began in January 2019 lasts, Sugarbush will offer FREE non-holiday skiing and riding to any furloughed or working without pay federal employee and their immediate family (spouses and dependent children ages 18 and under). To receive this offer, recipient must present their federal ID and an official letter stating that they are not getting paid in exchange for free one-day All Mountain Lift Ticket(s).
“Not receiving a paycheck is a huge burden for families,” said Win Smith, President of Sugarbush Resort. “We certainly hope that our representatives in Washington can reach a compromise soon and get everyone back to work. In the meantime, we wanted to offer those on furlough and their families an opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie of skiing and riding especially when conditions are so nice.”
Redeem at any ticket window. All family members must be present at time of redemption. Not valid during holiday periods (2/16/19 – 2/24/19). May not be combined with any other offer. May not be applied to previously purchased products. Must present valid federal identification and an official letter stating that no pay is being received. Family includes spouses, and dependent children ages 18 and under. Spouses must show valid identification with an address matching the federal identification. Ticket must be loaded onto a reloadable SugarXpress Card. If you do not already have a SugarXpress Card, one may be purchased for $5.
