Women’s Discovery Camps at Sugarbush Return in Early March

Warren, VT (February 27, 2017) – Sugarbush’s second Women’s Discovery Camp this season is scheduled to occur Monday, March 5th - Wednesday, March 7th.

“Our theme this year continues with Movements and Sensations,” said Terry Barbour, Ski & Ride School Director. “Good skiing is flowing movements, similar to fun dancing. We’re going to help women gain confidence in a supportive learning environment and dance with the mountain! We’ll help them turn where they want to turn and explore all this mountain has to offer.”

The camp has been previously recognized by Departures Magazine in an article entitled “Top-Notch Women’s Ski Camps”. Sugarbush’s Women’s Ski Discovery Camp was the only northeastern resort women’s camp mentioned in a group that included top-tier resorts such as Vail, Alta, Chamonix, and Whistler.

Sugarbush’s camp has been offered for a number of years, and takes advantage of the resort’s excellent veteran coaches such as Ski Magazine-ranked instructor MA Raymond, as well as celebrated coach Paté Weston.

The resort has also offered incentives to assist working women and mothers to attend the camps. Each participant in Women’s Discovery may receive either a half-price full-day kids program in The Schoolhouse children’s center, or a half-price companion adult lift ticket for each day of the camp.

Along with on-hill instruction, the camp includes video analysis, group meals, après ski parties, and optional ski demos.

The camp is $549 exclusive of day tickets, which are available at a 50% discount for campers. Lodging packages are also available. For more information and to register, visit www.sugarbush.com
