Sugarbush Scheduled to Open Early
Warren, VT (November14th, 2017) – After a long, cold week of productive snowmaking and some natural snow, Sugarbush has pushed its Opening Day from Saturday, November 18th to the afternoon of Thursday, November 16th for passholders and Friday, November 17th for the general public.
Thursday will be a soft opening from noon to 4 PM for passholders only. The resort plans to run the Valley House Quad, and offer top-to-bottom skiing and riding on Spring Fling and Snowball. Dining options on Thursday will be limited to Castlerock Pub.
On Friday, the resort will run the Valley House Quad from 9 AM to 4 PM for the public, servicing Snowball and Spring Fling. The mountain operations team will evaluate the terrain and decide whether more terrain can be opened up for the weekend, depending on snowmaking progress. Dining service on Friday and through the weekend will be offered in both Castlerock Pub and Gate House cafeteria. Dinner will be served at Rumble’s Kitchen starting Friday from 5 – 9 PM, Wednesday through Sunday through December 20th.
All passholders and ticketholders will be required to carry a SugarXpress Card to gain access to the RFID lift gates the resort installed this past summer. Guests may pick up a SugarXpress Card at the Season Pass Office in The Farmhouse at Lincoln Peak.
The Big Kicker, Sugarbush’s season kickoff party with Mad River Glen, will be held on Saturday, November 18th at Lareau Farm at American Flatbread in Waitsfield. The Big Kicker features a Rail Jam, ski movies, music, and food and drink specials for all ages.
