Sugarbush Resort has 100% of its terrain open for skiing and riding
Warren, VT January 17, 2012 – Sugarbush Resort has 100% of its terrain open for skiing and riding following last week’s snowstorm that dropped 18” of new snow on the mountain.
As of today Sugarbush is the only ski area in Vermont with 100% of its trails open according to SnoCountry.com, an industry-reporting website. Sugarbush credits its existing snowmaking infrastructure, an investment in new snowmaking technology and Mother Nature for achieving this goal before most of the resorts in the United States.
“The challenge now is to make sure that the word is out that Sugarbush is 100% open and that the skiing and riding conditions here in the Mad River Valley are great and getting better every day,” said Win Smith, President of Sugarbush.
Over the next couple of days three trails at Sugarbush will close for additional snowmaking but will reopen prior to the weekend.
Sugarbush Resort is a four-season mountain resort overlooking the Mad River Valley of Vermont. Home to some of New England's best skiing, Sugarbush also offers golf, tennis, a full service health and fitness center and numerous dining options.
