Sugarbush Resort Golf Club Pro Roger King Wins VTPGA Player of the Year


Warren, VT (October 16, 2018) – Sugarbush Resort Golf Club PGA Pro Roger King has been named the Northstar Fireworks VTPGA Player of the Year. King won the points race with 261.8 points, narrowly beating out second place finisher, David Jankowski, with 257 points. Since May, King has placed in the top ten in eight of the nine Vermont PGA tournaments. 

“I’m very thankful for the Sugarbush Resort Golf Club staff and members for giving me the opportunity to play in and practice for these events,” said King. “I’m very proud of the hard work I put in.”

This is King’s third season with Sugarbush Resort Golf Club. Prior to this, he served as General Manager at Barre Country Club for fourteen years. King served as VTPGA Tournament Committee Chairman from 2011 – 2015, and is currently serving as the Honorary President of the VTPGA.

King earned points across 19 tournaments this season, including first place finishes at the Barre Country Club and Williston Golf Club.
