Sugarbush Offers Free Season Passes to Vermont Guard Families

Families of Vermont Guardsmen deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan to Receive Free Season Passes

Warren, VT (February 17, 2010)- Sugarbush Resort announced today that it will be offering free All Mountain season passes to the spouse and children of all the Vermont National Guard’s men and women deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

'The 1,500 men and women of the (Vermont) Guard are making an incredible sacrifice heading into harm’s way. If we can provide their families with any kind of welcomed distraction, it’s the least we can do,' said Sugarbush president Win Smith.

The passes will be valid through the end of the winter season and will provide access to both of Sugarbush’s mountains.

In 2005 Sugarbush was awarded the Patriot Award by the United States National Guard for the Resort’s support of its employees serving overseas. The honor is bestowed upon businesses that go above and beyond what is required by law to not only accommodate employees returning from overseas, but also offering assistance to their families while they are abroad.

Families wishing to receive a season pass can call (802) 583-6300.
