Sugarbush Hosts NSAA Safety Month Events


Warren, VT (December 29, 2019) – In accordance with the National Ski Area Association’s Safety Month, Sugarbush Resort has added special events focused on safety for the month of January.

The month kicks off on Saturday, January 4th with Sweeps with Patrollers. Guests can join Sugarbush ski patrollers to conduct the end of day trail sweeps on Pushover. Space is limited to the first 5 chairs on the Gate House Quad with the group leaving promptly at 4:00 PM.

Sunday, January 12th is Breakfast with Patrollers. Guests can join ski patrollers and Sugarbush mascot, Murphy Moose, for a breakfast including French toast, bacon, sausage, coffee, juice, and hot chocolate in the Sleeper Room of the Gate House Lodge. The event runs from 8:00 – 9:00 AM with a $10 suggested donation for the Patrollers Relief Fund.

Both Saturday, January 18th and Saturday, January 25th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM there will be Shrediquette with the Sugarbush Parks and Ski & Ride teams. They’ll be on hand to help teach guests how to navigate features in the terrain parks, as well as provide tips on how to improve form and style. All participants to these events receive 10% off the February Freestyle Camp, however space is limited.

In addition to these events, the resort is also running both a Poster Contest with prizes awarded to the best posters, as well as a Real Powder Hounds Known the Code card that lets guests visit various patrol shacks and terrain parks to collect stamps. When their card is full, they can claim a special t-shirt, along with a chance to win a $100 Sugarbush Gift Card.
