Sugarbush Boasts Over 40 Events for Holidays
Warren, VT (December 19, 2017) – Sugarbush Resort is celebrating this holiday season with a full calendar of events.
The holiday cheer kicks off on Friday, December 22nd, with the Family Gingerbread House Building Workshop. Bring the whole family at 5:00 PM on Friday for a night of tasty creativity. On Saturday, December 23rd, the Ugly Sweater Party at Castlerock Pub encourages guests to wear their tackiest Christmas sweater, grab a beer and enjoy complimentary. Prizes will be awarded to some of the ugliest and most creative sweaters.
There will be a Christmas Eve Service on Sunday, December 24th, in the Gate House Lodge at 5:00 PM. Rumble’s Kitchen is serving a warm, festive dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 5:00 – 9:00 PM with live music from Womack and Hoh. Reservations for these dinners are highly recommended.
Enjoy fireside s’mores Tuesday – Friday with S’mores Cookouts at 4:00 PM December 26th – 30th in the Lincoln Peak Courtyard, and 3:30 PM in the Mt Ellen base area. Continuing on Tuesday is Kids Pizza & Movie Night from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, as well as a film screening of the latest Warren Miller ski film: Line of Descent, from 7:00 – 9:00 PM.
Wednesday, December 27th brings a wide variety of events starting with a guided Photography Outback Tour at 10:00 AM. Warm up and boogie down at the Blizzard Boogie with a live DJ at 3:00 PM in the Gate House Courtyard. At 4:00 PM, enjoy the 802 Reptiles Show at 4:00 PM in The Schoolhouse (reservations recommended).
On Thursday, December 28th, guests can enjoy Carriage Rides at Lincoln Peak with the team from Braveheart Farms. A Magic Show with Pete & Chris’s Amusements starts at 6:00 PM featuring high-energy magic for kids. At the same time, adults can enjoy a Paint & Sip in Gate House.
The fun continues on Friday, December 30th, with the Never Summer Snowboard Demo at 10:00 AM at Mt. Ellen, Kids Torchlight Parade at 4:00 PM, Kids Cooking Class at 5:30 PM and a Film Screening and Social with John Egan in the Gate House Mountain View Room at 7:00 PM.
On Saturday, along with another Never Summer Snowboard Demo riders can also try out the Powe Snowboard Demo at the same time and place. Those looking for some exercise can try out the Tour De Moon at 4:00 PM with a moonlit skin or snowshoe up to Walt’s at the Glen House for gourmet grilled cheese and craft beers. The Parks crew and freestyle coaches will introduce kids 13 and under to freestyle skiing and riding with games and prizes at Gathering of the Groms from 4:30 – 6:00 PM at the Lincoln Peak base area. There will also be another Kids Pizza and Movie Night at 5:00 PM in The Schoolhouse.
Returning for a seventh New Year’s Eve, the Annual Dog Parade and Costume Contest invites dog owners to strut their mutt through the Gate House Courtyard at 3:30 PM, with proceeds benefitting PAWSitive Pantry. That evening, enjoy a Family Italian Buffet at 6:00 PM with live music. After dinner, find your favorite spot to watch the New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade and Fireworks, which kick off 7:00 PM. Then ring in the New Year at Castlerock Pub with the Detonators performing live from 9:00 PM – midnight.
Après music can be found at Castlerock Pub, Wunderbar, and Green Mountain Lounge on various days throughout the week. Other recurring events include Twlight Snowshoe Tours and Sunset Groomer Rides.
