Local Student Emma Ryley Wins NSAA Award for Best Overall Safety Message


Warren, VT (April 11, 2017) – Each year Sugarbush holds a safety poster contest in accordance with the National Ski Areas Association national poster contest. The contest is designed to inspire kids to create posters encouraging safety at their ski resort. Sugarbush typically picks several favorites to submit to the NSAA contest.

This year, Emma Ryley, a student at Waitsfield Elementary, won the national award for Best Overall Safety Message. Ryley will receive a free ski helmet as her prize. This was the 3rd season Sugarbush had run the contest locally and its first national winner.
