You Can Dine Under The Stars This Weekend

This weekend is shaping up to be hot. Temperatures all across the northeast are expected to reach into the 90s on Saturday. Woof. Imagine standing over a hot stove or grill that night? No thanks.
That's where Sugarbush so kindly steps in. This Saturday we're hosting our first ever Mid-Summer Harvest Celebration and Pig Roast. It's a farm-to-table dinner, accompanied by music from the Starline Rhythm Boys, in our newly renovated Lincoln Peak Courtyard from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. You'll catch the sunset and the starlight in one go. Come sit back and let someone else do the hard and hot work of cooking for you.
We're hosting the event alongside good friends Lawson's Finest Liquids, who will be debuting a brand new beer at the event: "Mascara Mountain". The new brut IPA is an homage to the old Mascara Mountain days of Sugarbush when the jet-set New York glitterati visited in droves through the 1960s and 70s. The beer was brewed as a test run, but the hope is you'll be able to find it up here and down at Lawson's for many a season to come.
The menu for the event features food from a number of nearby farms: Gaylord Farm, Kingsbury Market Garden, Von Trapp Farmstead, and Hartshorn Organic Farm. Local vegetables, bread, meats, and berries are sprinkled throughout the dinner.
It's the first time we've ever done something like this, but assuming this is a success, we're excited to see how we can grow it. With the new Courtyard, the opportunities are endless. So take a night off from the kitchen, escape to the cooler mountain air, and enjoy the bounty of the Mad River Valley under the stars this Saturday night.
