Seven Daysies and Opening Day

We've made it to Opening Day! No, not THAT Opening Day. Winter is still a long ways off. But this Saturday officially marks our Summer Opening Day for mountain activities. That includes mountain biking, disc golf, bungee trampoline, zip line, scenic lift rides, and lunches at Rumble's Kitchen.
But before we get into details with that, I want to let everyone know that Sugarbush is currently a finalist in the Seven Daysies awards for Best Ski/Ride Area! There are a slew of categories you can vote on with businesses all over Vermont. If you're interested in helping us out, it only takes about 30 seconds to vote in our category. Additionally, our Brew-Grass Festival is also a finalist and you can vote for that here. We appreciate the support!
Anyway, back to Opening Day. If you haven't come up to enjoy some summer activities here, I'd encourage it. I like to consider disc golf "hiking with a purpose". Whenever I have friends up, we always play a few rounds on the base course. It's a nice way to get outside, get a little excercise, and enjoy a little friendly competition (last place buys a round at Rumble's). Speaking of Rumble's, they'll be open daily for lunch starting this weekend. As I say pretty much every time I write a blog, the Rumble's Patio is one of the best outdoor dining spots in the Valley. Views of the mountain in the summer are just as good, if not better, than they are in the winter. Plus you can check out the new Courtyard renovations, which looked and performed quite nicely doing Brew-Grass.
Lift-served mountain biking will be in full operation this weekend as well. We get a lot of feedback that our terrain is too difficult, and we absolutely hear that. This year, the bike crew purchased a mini-excavator they'll be using to rebuild and improve some of the trails on the hill. We've also been hard at work reopening some cross-country terrain like the Lollipop Loop down by Lot G, as well as some terrain over at Mt. Ellen. Along with all the great work being done in the Valley by the Mad River Riders, there are tons of great bike options.
It's also worth noting that in addition to all our summer activities opening this weekend, summer camps start this Monday. Whatever you choose to do, we hope to see you up here playing on the mountain soon!
