Family Life in the Valley

The Mad River Valley is an ideal place to call your home away from home, but don’t take our word for it…
Gurb, Amy, Katie, and Annie Thind are residents of New York City, originally hailing from Louisville, Kentucky and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Thind’s have owned a home at Sugarbush since 2008. Their favorite part about being homeowners at Sugarbush is how their time here allows them to take a break from their bustling life in New York and slow down and enjoy time together as a family. They describe it as an honor to feel a part of the warm and relaxed Sugarbush community.
Gurb is an avid fly fisherman. The girls play sports including soccer, volleyball, and tennis. As a family, the Thind’s enjoy musical theater, dance, and singing.
The Thind’s are avid skiers in the winter, but they love that they can enjoy the outdoors all year round in the Mad River Valley. Gurb’s favorite thing to do off-mountain is fish for wild trout streams around the valley, while the girls like to enjoy local treats from the weekly Waitsfield Farmer’s market, the Sweet Spot, and other local eateries.
Our first snowfall today has us looking forward to seeing the Thind's and the rest of our Sugarbush families enjoying the slopes this winter...
