Residents and visitors alike enjoyed a delightful three days celebrating the Sugarbush community last weekend. With nearly peak foliage as the backdrop and music by the Funkleberries, Mad Bavarian Brass Band, and Anthony Santor’s Jazz Trio for the soundtrack, this year’s celebration was special with first-time events and long-time traditions—in addition to being the pre-party for guests attending two beautiful autumn weddings!
Community Day is a way for longtime, new, and prospective members of the community to come together and experience everything from guided hikes, keg tosses, a football tournament, a pancake breakfast, face painting, pumpkin carving, and more. Sunny skies and warm temperatures welcomed another great weekend for mountain biking, golf, and even swimming in the Mad River.
This year was particularly special as we hosted a two-day Gadd Brook Open House event, showcasing the newest homes at Sugarbush. Our real estate team was there to answer questions and chat with families who came to tour the homes and relax by the fireplaces with food and beverages provided by Rumble’s Kitchen. Visitors participated in a raffle with prizes from several local businesses.
Another successful Community Day weekend came to a close with the first rain the valley had seen in weeks and “Drain the Keg” at Rumble’s. Beer leftover from Sunday’s Oktoberfest was enjoyed as we all look forward to the remainder of the beautiful fall foliage season and the upcoming Winter.
