What's New at Sugarbush
Clean Up. Green Up.
MAY 18, 2012 -- Nice work Team Sugarbush! The Resort accepted the Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence at the Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility conference in Burlington earlier this week. Sugarbush was recognized for its water quality project in the Rice Brook watershed. Vermont’s Agency of Natural Resources removed Rice Brook from the state’s list of “impaired waters” due to the resorts environmental programs. Rice Brook is the third brook Sugarbush has restored to meet Vermont’s water quality standards.
And while we’re on the subject of the environment, Green Up week at Sugarbush was a huge success! All departments took time out of their regular schedules to help green up the resort and surrounding areas. Our team partnered with Planning and Development and we gathered 15 bags of trash from German Flats road. Along with the usual bottles, cans and random trash, we even found an old pair of skinny skis!

Our green up efforts and our long-term environmental initiatives are part of Sugarbush’s vision for reducing our environmental impact and being good stewards of this beautiful mountain playground.
Come and play here this summer!
