Art Klugo hired as VP of Sugarbush Real Estate Development

Warren, VT January 10, 2012 – Sugarbush Resort has hired Art Klugo as Vice President of Real Estate Development. Klugo is charged with overseeing project management and real estate sales for the new slopeside Rice Brook Residences, as well as overseeing sales of the remaining 15% of Clay Brook Hotel and Residences.

 Klugo comes to Sugarbush with over 20 years of experience in real estate development and construction management, and has overseen projects from the early permitting stages through sales and occupancy.  Klugo received a degree in architecture and also maintains LEED accreditation for green building. His most recent project was overseeing the development of Stowe Mountain Lodge in Stowe, VT.

 Sugarbush Resort recently announced plans to build 15 whole-ownership residences as part of a larger plan to include 80-90 units of housing and commercial-use spaces. These new homes will be built in phases, beginning with the new Rice Brook Residences. The new Rice Brook Residences will be located between Lincoln Peak base area and historic Sugarbush Village and will be accessed by the existing “Out to Lunch” ski trail. The Residences are planned to house six townhomes and nine condominiums spread over three modest-sized buildings.
