Horseback Riding

Many visitors have gotten to know the lush meadows, meandering brooks, abandoned carriage roads and forested hillsides of the Mad River Valley on the backs of sturdy Icelandic Horses. No fair weather steeds, these rugged animals trek in all weather, year round. Guided treks, which vary in length from one hour to several days, are a great way to see the wildflowers, wildlife and wild places that you might not otherwise see.
