The Mad Triathlon at Sugarbush in Vermont's Mad River Valley, is a great way to celebrate the start of spring. Whether you're an iron man or woman or just enjoy exercising with friends, you demand fun while you run, paddle, and bike! On Saturday, May 11th, at 9:00 AM, runners will blast out of Lincoln Peak with a 7.2 mile run, then paddle 6 miles (canoe or kayak) down the Mad River, cycle 10 miles back to Lincoln Peak, and then a 3 mile trail run on a course designed to showcase the matchless beauty of Lincoln Peak! In all a 26.2 mile marathon Mad Tri. Be sure to stick around for the Kids Triathlon at 12:30 PM as well as a BBQ celebration, including delicious food and live music!
River levels have been APPROVED for the padding section!
Competitors will receive 20% off Sugarbush Lodging for this event.
7:00AM – 8:15AM: Race Packet Pick Up, upstairs in the Gate House Lodge 8:45AM: Racer Meeting, in front of The Schoolhouse 9:00AM: Race Start: In front of The Schoolhouse
9:30AM-11:00AM: Kids Triathlon Registration, upstairs in the Gate House Lodge 11:30AM-3:00PM: BBQ Celebration beings, the Castlerock Pub. Live music featuring the Phineas Gage Project. 12:30PM: Kids Triathlon, Kyle’s Park We realize that it is an early start. Packets may be picked up on Friday, May 10th from 4pm-7pm in The Schoolhouse at Lincoln Peak or Saturday morning before the race. Competitors may unload equipment along the course PRIOR to picking up their racer packet on Saturday morning. We suggest you give yourself 1 hr for equipment drop-off if you are starting from Lincoln Peak.
