More Fun & Events

Sugarbush’s spectacular location offers visitors so much more than skiing and riding. The Long Trail (the country’s first long distance hiking trail) goes right over the top of the resort on its way from Massachusetts to the Canadian border. The Catamount Trail (renown among nordic skiers and snowshoers) traces the same route through the belly of the resort. Some of the best mountain biking trails in New England meander through our midst. When snow comes, put away your mountain bike and take out your snowshoes to retrace the same trails. Road bikers will find numerous circuitous routes that provide terrific scenery and lots of challenges along the way. And when you’re ready to cool off, try one of the many swimming holes in the Valley, including the grand daddy of all swimming holes – Warren Falls.

For those who like it green, Sugarbush’s Robert Trent Jones, Sr. golf club, one of the best mountain courses in the East, will challenge your golf skills and put your mind at ease with beautiful scenery from every hole. If tennis is your game, the Sugarbush Health and Racquet Club has 4 clay and 2 hard courts outdoors and another 3 hard courts indoors. Tennis pro Mike Smookler has developed programs for every ability and age.

Looking for something different? Sugarbush Airport is the premier soaring center in the East. Visitors can enjoy an unparalled view of the Valley from a piloted glider or take lessons from a licensed instructor. For something slightly more mellow, take a 30 minute drive to Vermont’s most popular attraction – the Ben & Jerry’s factory in Waterbury.
