Essential Elements, Co-Ed

Adult Seasonal Programs at Sugarbush

  • Ages: 18 plus
  • SOLD OUT
If you are really serious about improving your skiing this season, our co-ed Essential Elements program is your opportunity. Taught by Sugarbush Instructor and PSIA Examiner Mac Jackson, Essential Elements is a step-by-step analysis of everything involved in how you ski--from the fit of your boots to mastering the conditions and terrain on the hill.
  • Essential Elements meets every Saturday from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM, 12/17/11-03/24/12, excluding 12/24. Participants are encouraged to attend every session to maximize learning and group consistency.

    AGENDA:

    • Boots - Start the season strong and comfortable by getting a ski boot evaluation. We will cover proper fit, stiffness, alignment, and canting. Basic boot adjustments and orthotics will be available at an additional fee.
    • Skis - Are you skiing the proper ski for your ability? For the snow conditions? Are your skis a good length for you? Are your skis properly tuned and waxed? A proper ski evaluation will ensure a positive experience.
    • Ski Tuning - Receive hands-on training tuning and waxing skis. You may currently have this work done by a shop, but it is good to know what is happening to your boards.
    • Basic Skills - Learn why mastering basic skills is so important to improving your skiing at all levels.
    • Conditions Of The Day - Conditions of the day play a big part in any day’s agenda! Mac will take advantage of the conditions to achieve maximum benefit.
    • Training Skis - These 130 cm skis may be short but they ski like a longer ski and will allow you instant feedback on your turn technique.
    • Video Analysis - One of the best tools to help you improve your skills.
    • Gate Training - This is not racing, it is training on courses that are set for a safe, fun, learning experience.

At a minimum, Essential Elements members should be skiing comfortably on blue/intermediate terrain. Essential Element members must have a Sugarbush All Mountain Pass. Program includes a NASTAR Race Arena season pass.

    Minimum of 8 participants required.
