Founded in 1993, the Dogs compete in Moguls, Slopestyle, halfpipe, and Extreme skiing competitions.
While the goal of the Diamond Dogs is to improve freestyle skills and prepare for a future in competition, the philosophy of the team is 'Great Skiers and Riders make Great Freestylers.' As such, a great deal of training is dedicated to utilizing all the terrain Sugarbush has to offer, rounding out its members' skills by spending time in the trees, steeps, groomers, and anywhere else that conditions and terrain match their goals.
All Diamond Dogs should be advanced to expert all-mountain skiers or riders comfortable with being coached in bumps, rails, and airs. Diamond Dogs must have a Sugarbush All Mountain Pass. Diamond Dogs receive a 20% cafeteria food discount for use on program weekends. Team meets from 8:45-3pm, and trains out of it's clubhouse at Mt Ellen (except the first 2 weekends of December).
