December 12 -16, 2011 -- A Sugarbush annual tradition for over 50 years! Valley Ski & Ride Week is the only true ski & ride week still offered by any resort in New England. Enjoy our hospitality by attending the kick-off breakfast at Timbers on Monday morning starting at 8am. We will be on snow Monday - Friday from 9am to 12pm at Lincoln Peak and on Thursday afternoon at 4pm, we will host an apres ski social in The Grill.

Ages: 7 - 17
Lesson Type: Ski & Ride

Unsure what to do with your little adventurer during the vacation weeks? Our Ski & Ride coaches will guide and instruct all over the mountain, on topics like steeps, bumps, air, trees and safety in some of Sugarbush's wildest terrain, including the famous Slide Brook Basin. In addition to skiing and riding skills, our coaches will instruct on such things as group management, picking lines, decision making, snow and environment conditions assessment, backcountry survival and rescue techniques.

Ages: 9 - 17
Lesson Type: Ski & Ride
Ski/Ride, Ability: Advanced/expert
Program Offered at: Mt. Ellen
Backcountry riding not your thing? Prefer jibbing and pulling threes to skinning and skiing the trees? The Jr. Freestyle Camp is the answer. Freestylers will focus on switch riding, carving, basic rails and straight airs before progressing onto grabs, spins, big airs and linking maneuvers. From the park, Freestylers will take their new skills out on the rest of the mountain to learn how to integrate them into an all mountain freeride style. All the while, our freestyle coaches will focus on safety, etiquette, appropriate equipment and decision-making. Skiers and riders are both welcome in this progressive camp taught by USSA and USASA licensed freestyle coaches.

Our five-day college camps are geared to get your team on-snow with specific race training instruction to make your team fast, while having lots of fun. Coaching is targeted to match skill levelsÃ??Ã?Â¢??competitive racers can get faster, and beginner and intermediates can get comfortable in the gates. During the week we will set up the timers and get those "first race" nerves out before your season starts.
