About Ali Zimmer

Native Vermonter, naturalist and adventurist who is driven by a deep love of nature and the mountains, Ali has fifteen years of mountain bike experience including cross country, enduro, downhill, and free style. Her racing career began in 2012 and culminated last season with clinching the ProGRT DH mountain bike national title and attending DH world Championships in Hafjel, Norway. Ali has led many woman's rides in Middlebury and the Mad River Valley, as well as worked as a mentor for the Little Bellas program for girls in Vermont, Wisconsin and California.

Ali has been a practicing Physical Therapist for 14 years with a wide range of experience including working with athletes of Middlebury college, as well as professional athletes. Her newly opened clinic in Bristol, Vermont, Synergy in Motion, is quickly becoming a thriving and vibrant practice for the community and athletes alike.

Woman's Wednesday rides were initiated in an effort to expose more women to the sport and through a supportive non-competitive environment which fosters development of the riding community as well as personal empowerment. Rides with Ali are a blend of riding, on and off the bike skills education, coaching, guidance in specific training and conditioning to improve confidence, trail and riding etiquette, education in wild plants found on the trails side as well as laughter and fun.

In partnership with the Mad River Riders. Visit Mad River Riders website for other Women's Discovery clinic dates.
