Women’s Ski Discovery Camps at Sugarbush Return in Late January and Early March

Warren, VT (January 25, 2016) –Sugarbush’s internationally-recognized Women’s Ski Discovery Camps are scheduled to occur twice this winter. A weekend camp will be held Friday, January 29th – Sunday, January 31st, and a second, weekday camp will be held Monday, March 7th - Wednesday, March 9th.

The Resort’s women’s camp was recently recognized by Departures Magazine in an article entitled “Top-Notch Women’s Ski Camps”. Sugarbush’s Women’s Ski Discovery Camp was the only northeastern resort women’s camp mentioned in a group that included top-tier resorts such as Vail, Alta, Chamonix, and Whistler.

Sugarbush’s camp has been offered for a number of years, and takes advantage of the resort’s excellent veteran coaches such as Ski Magazine-ranked instructor MA Raymond, as well as celebrated coach Paté Weston.

The resort has also offered incentives to assist working women and mothers to attend the camps. Each participant in Women’s Discovery may receive either a half-price full-day kids program in The Schoolhouse children’s center, or a half-price companion adult lift ticket for each day of the camp.

“At Sugarbush, we understand that one of the biggest obstacles to women’s participation in programs like Women’s Discovery is the anxiety that comes from wondering what the rest of the family will do while you’re having fun,” says Russ Kauff, Director of the Ski & Ride School. “Alleviating that anxiety, making it easier and simpler to plan for the rest of the family, should make for a far better experience for our camp participants.”

Along with on-hill instruction, the camp includes video analysis, group meals, après ski parties, and optional ski demos. Skida, a Vermont-based company providing functionally stylish headwear and accessories, is a camp sponsor and will provide some goodies to participants.

The camp is $499 exclusive of day tickets, which are available at a discount for campers. Discounted lodging packages for the camps are also available. For more information and to register, visit www.sugarbush.com
