Sugarbush Resort Golf Club Announces Roger King as Head Golf Pro
Warren, VT (December 15, 2015) – Sugarbush Resort Golf Club has announced Roger King as the new Head Golf Pro for the 2016 golf season.
King arrives at Sugarbush from Barre Country Club, where he was General Manager for fourteen years. Before that he worked at a number of golf clubs in various capacities including Kernwood Country Club, Bass Rocks Golf Club, and PGA National Golf Club. King is also the current VTPGA President, in the first of his two-year term. Additional honors include 2012 VTPGA PGA Professional of the Year, VTPGA Tournament Committee Chairman from 2011-2015 and 2012 VTPGA Match Play Champion among others.
King’s philosophy focuses on connecting with people and assessing how they individually learn, “I believe in the 3-E philosophy: enhance experience everyday,” said King. “This only comes from member contact and by getting to know each of them personally to anticipate their needs and wants. I’m very excited to be joining the Sugarbush family and getting to know its members and guests.”
King will be on resort from May through November, available for lessons and clinics. He will also oversee tournaments and various events.
