Sugarbush Park Manager, Trevor Borrelli, to Run On-Hill Mountain Bike Operations
Warren, VT (May 10, 2018) – Sugarbush Resort has announced that Trevor Borrelli, the resort’s terrain park manager in the winter, will be overseeing all on-hill mountain bike operations this summer.
Borrelli has served as Park Manager since 2015 and this will mark his first role in overseeing on-hill mountain bike operations. Borrelli is quite familiar with the mountain biking terrain at Sugarbush, having worked on the trail crews the past few summers. His passion for the industry is demonstrated through his bike experience, having grown up riding and racing BMX bikes and mountain biking all over the northeast.
Borrelli and team will initially be working to rebuff trails and rework some of the bike parks with new features. “One of our first goals is going to be to try and make some of our terrain more approachable to beginners and intermediates,” says Borrelli. “We’ll focus first on smoothing some of these trails out and building better drainage without taking away that raw natural terrain that our bikers really enjoy.”
Over time, Borrelli hopes to expand the mountain biking program at Sugarbush along with bringing in new events. This summer, the Eastern States Cup will return to the resort on Sunday, July 15th with Enduro and Downhill races.
Lift-served mountain biking at Sugarbush opens Saturday, June 23rd. Information on season passes, lift tickets, camps, and clinics can be found at www.sugarbush.com.
