Sugarbush Offers Diverse Assortment of Culinary Events This Summer

Warren, VT (July 23, 2013) –

The culinary team at Sugarbush Resort is hosting a wide array of culinary events and specials throughout the summer and into the fall.

Executive Chef Gerry Nooney and Timbers Restaurant Manager Marcus Champoux continue to host a series of Culinary Demonstrations and Cocktail Tastings. Free to the public, these events invite guests to learn how to prepare (and sample) seasonal recipes. Upcoming demonstrations include “Summer Harvest” on Saturday, August 24th and “All About Apples” on Saturday, September 21st at 3 PM.

Timbers Wine Dinners have also returned on the 3rd Thursday of each month. The five-course dinner prepared by chef Rich Scarzello is paired with wines selected by Champoux (a certified sommelier) and priced at $100 per person. The theme of August’s dinner is French white wines on Thursday, August 15th.

Castlerock Pub continues to offer their themed  Beer Dinners on select Saturdays. Lost Nation Brewing of Morrisville will be featured on Saturday, August 10th. Dinners cost $50.

Columbus Day weekend will offer two family-friendly specialty dinners: a Farm-to-Table Localvore Harvest Dinner on Saturday, October 12th, and a Bavarian-style Family Oktoberfest on Sunday, October 13th. The Family Oktoberfest will feature live music, local food vendors, and several beer vendors headlining their fall-style beers.

Along with their special events, both Timbers Restaurant and Castlerock Pub run several regular weekly specials: Timbers Chef’s Choice Specials feature a chef-picked three-course meal for $25/ person on Mondays; and Thursdays offer Lobster Night for $25/person. Castlerock Pub dinner Tuesdays and Wednesdays showcasing their New England Raw Bar. The bar features an assortment of fresh East Coast shellfish including several types of oysters, muscles, clams, and shrimp. 

Timbers Restaurant is serving breakfast daily and dinner Thursday-Monday from 5-9 PM. Castlerock Pub is open for lunch daily and dinner Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5-8 PM. Hogan’s Pub at Sugarbush Resort Golf Club serves lunch from 11 AM-3 PM and brunch on Sundays.
