Presidents’ Week at Sugarbush Resort Chalk Full of Events for the Whole Family
Warren, VT (February 8, 2016) – Sugarbush Resort announces 53 events for the upcoming holiday week. The fun begins on Saturday, February 13 and runs through Sunday, February 21. All are open to the public and many of the events are free to attend.
Festivities kick off on Saturday with Ice Carving in the Lincoln Peak Courtyard and a Local Artisan Market in Timbers Restaurant Gallery. That night guests can enjoy the Torchlight Parade and Fireworks, President’s Week Family Buffet, Kids Cooking Class, and a Feature Garden.
The Cupid Cha-Cha with dancing, music, pizza, and an ice bar in the Lincoln Peak Courtyard highlights Sunday. Other events that day include Tour De Moon, where guests can skin up Mt. Ellen and enjoy a dinner followed by a ski down, Kids Pizza & Movie Night, and Sweetheart Paint & Sip with oil on canvas painting and tasty libations.
On Monday, February 15 skiers and riders can show off their best dance moves at the Wii Dance Party in the Wünderbar. The Mad River Distillery will be hosting a Whiskey Tasting in the Gate House Lodge and then those looking to burn off the calories can head down to the Sugarbush Health and Recreation Center to enjoy Wiffleball.
Tuesday, February 16 features a Photography Outback Snowshoe Tour through the Slide Brook Basin followed by the Kids Torchlight Parade with Murphy Moose.
Sugarbush Parks will be hosting Gathering of the Groms on Wednesday, February 17 with contests including dance offs, rail maneuvers, and high ollie contests.The SHaRC hosts Pick-up Soccer in the evening and The Schoolhouse hosts Kids Pizza & Movie Night featuring Maya The Bee Movie and Frozen.
The ever-popular Large Birds of Prey Performance in The Schoolhouse will take place on Thursday, February 18. An Adventure Slideshow hosted by Ember Photography will start in the evening in Castlerock Pub.
On Friday, February 19 Sugarbush hosts another Photography Outback Snowshoe Tour through Slide Brook, as well as Firkin Friday & Raw Bar in Castlerock Pub. Ex-Warren Miller legend John Egan will be hosting a Film Screening of one of his old films, Double Exposure, that evening in the Gate House Lodge.
The Green Mountain Lounge at Mt. Ellen will be unveiling their new cowbell on Saturday, February 20 for their annual Cowbell Champagne Party full of prizes, live music, and champagne. A Feature Garden, Guided Moonlit Skinning & Snowshoe Tours, Cornhole Tournament, Kids Cooking Class, and Meet the Brewer with Frost Beer Works round out what will be an exciting day at the resort.
The festivities wrap up with the Elliot Family Sunday Brunch Buffet on Sunday, February 21. Guests are invited to celebrate an old Glen Ellen tradition with brunch in the Green Mountain Lounge at Mt. Ellen before finishing the week with a few runs on the hill.
Throughout the week there are also several recurring events. Après music will be found in the Wunderbar, Green Mountain Lounge and Castlerock Pub at various times throughout the holidays. Outback Guided Snowshoe Tours are offered twice daily in the morning and afternoon. Skiers and riders can also enjoy S’More Cookouts on select days through the week in the base areas of both Lincoln Peak and Mt. Ellen.
