PGA Professional RJ Ziats joins team at Sugarbush Resort Golf Club


Sugarbush, VT April 30, 2012 ­­– Sugarbush Resort announces the addition of Class A PGA Professional RJ Ziats to the resort golf club staff.

Ziats’ teaching career spans twenty years, and includes experience at Vermont’s Stratton Golf School, Ohio’s Tam O'Shanter Golf Club, New York’s Muttontown Country Club and Florida’s Belleair Country Club.

Ziats is competitive at the top level of Golf. His playing experience includes qualifying for the 2012 PGA National Championship. Other competitive accomplishments include playing in two PGA Tour Qualifying Schools, The Nationwide Tour, and the South American and Canadian Tours.

The front nine and the driving range at Sugarbush Resort Golf Club are open for the 2012 season. The full course and Hogan’s Pub are scheduled to open on Friday, May 4th. The Golf Club is hosting several new events this season, including the Valley Rotary’s Father’s Day Tournament on June 17th and the Vermont State Women’s Golf Associations’ Mid-Am Championship on September 15th and 16th. Memberships and season passes are now on sale with rates starting at $699.

Sugarbush Resort Golf Club is a par-71 course designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, Sr. in 1962.The Golf Club offers private instruction, group clinics, junior golf camps, women’s clinics, custom-club fitting, golf apparel and equipment.
