There is a time to come and a time to go and now the time has come for this year's ski season to go. While I had hoped to get in another weekend, I think yesterday was the day we want to remember. By next weekend, Snowball will be fried and Stein's will be sketchy at best.
Thanks to all of you who came out this weekend and especially to the many "new" faces we saw on May Day. I am so disappointed to have been away, but our team had a great time and told me that they think everyone on the mountain did as well.
Thank you all for a great season and for your wonderful support and loyalty to Sugarbush.
Now our thoughts turn to summer. RJ plans to have our golf course open next weekend.
Beginning the last weekend of June and for the rest of the summer, the Bravo lift will run everyday through Labor Day and then weekends through Columbus Day weekend. Mountain biking, hiking, and disc golf are all available by riding the Bravo lift. Our lift mechanics are already taking the chairs off Bravo to do annual NDT testing so that the lift will be ready to run on schedule.
Our July 4th holiday will be even more fun than in years past. The weekend begins with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra on Friday. We will host a BBQ at Castlerock Pub followed by a VSO concert and fireworks. Saturday will be a day to play on the mountain and explore the Valley. Sunday there is an exciting airshow at the Warren airport and you do not want to miss Jim Parker's aerial acrobatic acts. Then on Monday we cap the weekend with the legendary Warren Fourth of July Parade. I would definitely suggest taking Tuesday as a vacation day.
We have a fun summer of weddings planned (including my own) and New England Tennis Holidays will be with us again through the fall.
Finally, while many of you have already taken advantage of our spring discount prices on next year's season passes, I just want to remind those of you who have not yet purchased a pass that these prices are only available through Wednesday, May 4th.
Again, thanks for a great winter. I hope to see many of you this summer.
