Hooray! The Bravo lift will spin at 9am Thanksgiving morning. We received 8" inches of snow at the base as of 7am on Wednesday (9" at the summit). Skiing is suggested for experts only as the cover on Downspout will be thin and because of that it is unlikely that we can get a groomer on it. We will also be downloading on Bravo. Last lift up Bravo tomorrow is 2:45pm and last lift on Heaven's gate will be at 3:15pm. Despite having just a couple of trails ready, we are excited to begin the season and look forward to seeing some of you tomorrow morning. The first meaningful snow is always exciting, and I can tell you that Rumble bounded out the door this morning into the 8 inches of fresh snow and ran all around the yard in excitement.

Unfortunately, warmer temperatures are coming back for several days starting tomorrow and we won’t have snowmaking temperatures again until midweek. We might not be able to remain open, but we will be taking every opportunity at both mountains to make snow and expand our trail count as rapidly as possible. The pattern after midweek is looking better.
Happy Thanksgiving.

The Boston Globe poll for "Your Favorite New England Ski Areas" is still open for votes and we are hoping to extend our lead over all the other Vermont ski areas and even catch-up to those in Maine who currently top the list. Click here to cast your vote.
