Last week we had orientation for our snowmaking team and their arrival brought in the first snow of the year on the mountain. Looking out my window that morning the trails were white from the summit almost to the base area.
It was only a couple of inches at the most but it was a beginning and the white has been sticking around. Our new snowmaking towers have arrived and are being installed, and we are ready to blast in a few more days. It has been cold enough at the top of the mountain, but we are in for a warming trend will likely last through the weekend. But when the temperatures fall we will be ready to go and make every effort to hit our opening date of Saturday, November 23rd. It is time to bring winter on.
So what would you expect a former Executive Vice President of Merrill Lynch to do when he retires? Lay low in the islands? Nope. He moves north and works seven days a week right here at Sugarbush. Check out what he's been thinking.
