July 4th is one of the Mad River Valley's signature events. There is truly no other celebration like it. Even the Valley's own rock star, Grace Potter, was quoted talking about the Warren Fourth of July Parade out in Iowa this week, where she is touring with her band. Grace's father, Sparky, is the artist behind many of the beautiful signs in the Lincoln Peak base area. Other family members are jewelers and painters.
The Potter family is a great example of the talent that runs rampant in this Valley. It is a community filled with strong-willed, independent personalities.
And Monday's parade is always a satisfying expression of that independence.
Look for me and Rumble and the Sugarbush team expressing our dependence on the independence of this Valley as we march in Monday's parade. At Sugarbush, we start celebrating tonight and will offer fun activities everyday throughout this holiday weekend.

PS As you know, it never rains on the Warren Parade but it helps to know that the forecast is mostly clear and sunny for the weekend.
