When I first visited the Mad River Valley, I came entirely to ski (and maybe to apres ski, as well). I later learned there were many more recreational opportunities in the summer, and I began playing the golf course and sampling the many hiking trails. But it was only after moving here full-time that I discovered the richness of the many cultural activities here in the Valley.
Great things are about to happen in the Valley, from opera performances to brew festivals to summer camp programs that educate children about the local food movement. I would encourage you to join in and discover what I missed for so many years.
So what would you expect a former Executive Vice President of Merrill Lynch to do when he retires? Lay low in the islands? Nope. He moves north and works seven days a week right here at Sugarbush. Check out what he's been thinking.
