There were some diehards on the slopes last weekend and, like me, they enjoyed some soft runs down Snowball and Spring Fling and some good mogul runs down Stein's. This week looks great, with sun and temperatures in the 50s, but Roger Hill whetted our appetite this morning by saying that we might get some accumulating snowfall in the mountains Friday night into Saturday. So keep watching our weather reports as we get closer to the weekend.
Last weekend was a perfect one for the Sugarbush Adventure Games which benefited the Mad River Path. Fifty kids participated in the Saturday event and Sunday saw a few hundred in our annual four-event "triathlon". Some wore serious gear while others had some festive costumes or little on at all on that brisk Sunday. Due to the lack of snow at Mt. Ellen, the cross-country ski leg was turned into a run up Inverness to Brambles and back down which proved to be a challenging fourth leg of the race. Thanks to all who participated.
Tennis, golf, hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, disc golf, lift rides, zipping, birding, eating, drinking, shopping, or just plain relaxing are some of what you can look forward to in our warmer months, along with great music and arts events throughout the summer and especially during the Festival of the Arts in August.
So don't forget to buy your 2010/11 season passes by May 2nd -- but also plan to visit us this summer when there will be plenty to enjoy. And you can also watch the progress of construction on Phase 2 and our two new lodges.
