We are unsure which factors have aligned so perfectly, but this year's autumn weather and foliage displays are among the best anyone can remember. Even with a slight chance of rain over the weekend, the colors are so hot, they might just evaporate any precipitation that falls.
"Lit up and flashing, like the reds and blues."
Fall festivities in the Mad River Valley are rolling along and ramping up for the weekend. From outdoor adventures and idyllic drives to tasty food and cool culture, it is happening now. Remember that mountain activities are open Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 AM - 4 PM through Columbus Day.
Be sure to try our hiking trails on the mountain or the Mad River Riders' multi-use trails. Check out the Blueberry Lake trails in East Warren and the Revolution trail that starts at American Flatbread in Waitsfield.
"Almost ablaze, still you don't feel the heat."
While the pictures capture some of the autumn glory, they are nothing compared to the real immersive experience. Wandering around Vermont during fall is among the most dazzling displays in the world.
"Everybody's dancing!" SHARC renovations are almost complete.
"May the four winds blow you safely home."
"The wheel is turning and you can't slow it down." Riding in Camel's Hump State Forest.
Sugarbush Golf Club is peaking!
"Rainbows full of sound."
"Inside, you're burning."
"Inspiration, move me brightly."
Peak foliage is a moving target, but this weekend is a very good bet to capture the best of the season. Make the move and be here. Better come quick, it's time to carpe leafem!
