Happy Vernal Equinox everyone! Sugarbush greeted spring with 4" of new snow this morning and more likely coming in the next day or two. We've had temps below zero this week and probably one more cold snap, before things start to warm up for real.
Coach Jesse getting Vulcanized.
The potential for more snow next week is strong too, especially at elevation. These wet spring storms sometimes deliver the biggest accumulations of the season, while the valleys are getting rain. Keep an eye on the snow report for up-to-date weather prognostication.
Spring is also high time for events. Join us for a Nantucket Weekend this Saturday and Sunday, along with the finale of the Seasonal Programs and Sugarbush Patrol tryouts for 2014-2015.
Join Sugarbush Patrol for fun and fame.
Want first tracks every morning? Sugarbush Patrol tryouts are this Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 9:30 AM. You should be a strong skier or snowboarder and OEC first aid certification must be obtained before next season. Have questions? Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
Check out the Park Affair Women's Freestyle Camp next weekend!
While we have a ton of snow left, Mt. Ellen is getting close to her closing on March 30th. Be sure to get there for some park laps, groomer zooms and tree turns before the lifts stop. We plan to send off Mt. Ellen's 50th season with several fun events, including a Gelandesprung ski jump comp, fireworks and a torchlight parade on March 29th.
Sunny spring fun.
Sugarbush's famous Pond Skim returns March 29th.
Bush Pilot Chris opening Heaven's Gate.
Judy dropping a nice line. Mom says hi to the boys!
Snow is great, but maybe the sun will return soon?
The mountains are in incredible condition and the fun is in full swing. See you soon!
