Summer's Best Gravity

Thursday, August 4, 2011

Astronauts and birds will tell you it's not about overcoming gravity. You have to work with its power ... and learn a few other tricks. No worries, we can help.

Gravity is a river. Step into the flow.

Great blue heron in flight.

Flying is fun, landing is mandatory. Check out this video Gravity East Downhill Race 2011 Course Preview. Practice is Saturday and the race is Sunday!

The Gravity East Downhill Race is a great spectator event, with multiple easily accessed spots. If you've never seen a downhill bike race, it is mind-blowing how fast some of these athletes ride this terrain.

It's inspirational and educational. But if you are already feeling inspired, there is still time to register!

Some shop employees from Laundry's in MA. Even with the full-face helmets, the smiles are visible.

From wild edibles to the biggest gardens, harvest season is here. The quality and variety of locally-grown food is amazing right now.

The berries are so sweet, with just the right amount of tart.

Everywhere you look.

Sunset on Lake Champlain. It may not be a "Great" lake, but it is a really good one.

The rains have been missing us lately and the trails are powdery dry. Summer's best is right now. We hope to see you soon!
