The sound of crickets in the air, flaxen tones in the fields, a shock of bright wildflowers around every corner, some early foliage on the hillsides, and an explosion of fresh berries on your tongue ... late summer's treats and treasures are ripe for the picking in the Mad River Valley.
Full summer glory.
This weekend is packed with great events, especially Saturday. Starting at 10 AM, the Wicked Witch of the East Enduro bike race kicks off at Lareau Farm. Just beyond the finish line, the free VT Music Fest gets going around noon and cranks well into the evening.
The band list is incredible and the beer tent should be well-stocked with a variety of regionally-produced thirst-quenching brews. The weather looks perfect too, with lots of sunshine and ideal temps. Pedal and party in the same day!
