From the depths of powder last week to a meltdown/freeze-up and now back to snow, Sugarbush has had quite a wild weather stretch. Of course, it was all perfectly timed around the holidays. Thankfully, the groomers, snowmakers and Mother Nature have been busy putting the mountains back together again. We made good use of the recent cold temps and have recoated many trails with smooth soft layers. We have also gotten a couple fresh inches today and it's still snowing.
With the odd mid-week holidays this year, the high times are still getting rolling. Tomorrow and beyond look busier, so plan your adventures accordingly. With a little knowledge of the general traffic flows, you can always be in the right places. Starting early is key though.
Another good tool is to keep track of the holiday events, so you know where and when to be in the prime spots. For instance, if you like great beer, food and music, Castlerock Pub in the Gate House Lodge should be at the top of your list this weekend. Where else can you have a Von Trapp brewery beer dinner one night, followed by A Very Merry Pig Roast and topped off by a rocking show with Tammy Fletcher, one of VT's favorite singers?
Dawn patrol. The early bird gets the turn.
If you are wondering how you'll build your appetite for all the food and drink, we've got a ton of outdoor and on-snow fun for all ages and abilities. Join us for a photographic snowshoe tour, sign up for one of our great lessons, camps and clinics, or strut your mutt in the annual Dog Parade.

The weekend temps are supposed to moderate and there is a chance for some more snow on Sunday into Monday. With a full schedule, lots of terrain and good snow, it's going to be great. See you on the mountain!
Heaven's Gate should be open again tomorrow!
