Novembrrr - Sugarbush Stoke Exchange

Thursday, November 14, 2013

The past week felt a lot like January, which means the adrenaline is flowing, the snowguns have been running and it's been stormy. We've had temps in the single digits and have gotten over a foot of natural snow at the summits since the weekend.  As the clouds have finally parted again, the mountains sure look mid-winter fresh. This is all setting us up very well for an on-time opening, next Saturday, Novembrrrr 23rd.

The next few days look warm though, so we will need to reassess. Mother Nature always has the final say. On the bright side, starting Monday night, it looks as though cold returns for the remainder of the week. Be sure to check the Snow Report to confirm opening information.

Regardless of the temperatures, we've got a great party lined up on Saturday night, the Big Kicker annual winter kickoff celebration. Sugarbush has teamed up again with the neighbors, Mad River Glen, to start our favorite season in style.

There is a lot of fun in store for everyone, including a freestyle demo from the SB and MRG teams on a Sugarbush Parks setup, a screaming slideshow, a Flyin' Ryan and High Fives presentation and screenings of Into the Mind.
