While we've recently been back in the deep freeze, Sugarbush did pick up a few inches of snow earlier this week. The arctic blasts are a nice bonus too, because even if we aren't getting tons of fresh, at least we can make snow.
Wide wale is always in style!
The cold temps allowed our snowmakers to work their magic, producing huge quantities of dry gunpowder, with soft turns available for everyone who braved the chill. Under cover of darkness, the groomers have also been conjuring clean corduroy for our daily enjoyment.
Elevation has played a role, too. With high mountain accumulations, we were able to release some natural snow trails, including Spillsville, Bravo and Exterminator. Unfortunately, Castlerock has yet to open this season. But if we can avoid any more warm-ups and keep getting snow, it'll be ready soon. Snow dances are always appreciated.

On top of the great snow and grooming, the weekend weather looks pretty good, with more comfortable temps and the possibility of fresh accumulation. Saturday is also a big party day, with five live bands playing throughout the resort, including the UVM Jazz Band.
Join us for some mountain magic. It's time to party!
