Mind Meld - Sugarbush Stoke Exchange

Thursday, March 13, 2014

Winter Storm Vulcan has shared over 2 feet of snow with Sugarbush since yesterday, bringing us to 200" for the season so far. The flakes are still flying and we picked up another 6" since this morning. Even better, there is more snow in the forecast for the weekend.

Buried.
Buried.

We already had a solid base in place before the latest accumulation, so pretty much every trail, glade, chute and gully are in play now. If you missed today, don't worry. Mt. Ellen was closed, due to high winds, so it sits fresh and waiting for tomorrow's tracks. Heaven's Gate also did not open, although there was some hiking traffic.

While it's cold today, the maple sap might run this weekend, just in time for the Sugaring Time Festival. Join us for a celebration of our favorite golden elixir.

The third and final Tour De Moon of the season is Saturday night at Mt. Ellen. Check out one of our coolest climbs, followed by a tasty dinner at the Glen House, with a delicious dessert descent to cap off the evening.
