August always feels so precious. The end of summer is visible, but there are still plenty of chances to enjoy it before autumn falls. It is high time to savor the apex of the season - perfect days, cool nights, vibrant wildflowers, idyllic vistas, farm-fresh food, and healthy adventures.

This past week, we were excited to host two great fundraising events, the High Fives golf tournament and the ever-improving Taste of the Valley, which benefits the VT Festival of the Arts.

Speaking of good things to eat and drink, Castlerock Pub is hosting a very special beer dinner on Saturday 8/10, with one of VT's newest breweries, Lost Nation Brewing from Morrisville. Chef Gerry and Tapmaster Shawn both gave their beers two enthusiastic thumbs-up, so expect a spectacular meal.
Better yet, go work up a thirst and appetite during a day of biking, hiking, golfing, or swimming. Have fun, then feast.
